Riveena

Winter holds its frosty grip tight

Over the snowy landscape is a curious sight

A place void of colour from months gone by

Blossoms, vines and trees take to the sky

Spring holds the upper hand on this day

The sun holds the power, its mid-May

Snow will cease and raindrops take their place

Washing away the bitter cold without a trace

Some petals may falter trying to reach their goals

This seasonal war is bound to claim a few souls

Rest assured, assistance will arrive

The slumbering bees have come alive

Transferring the hope for a future so true

With the help of squirrels, birds and humans too

From the ground up is where we all begin

Working together is how we will all win
