Josepha

The first lamp I designed and built in Paris. I wanted to capture the essence of Chateau De Versailles, predominantly the Countess Du Barry's apartment. King Louis XV last Mistress.

Lace and silks occupied the entirety of the apartment. The obviousness of the gold accents and frames almost created their own light from the suns rays through the windows. The rooms were still so soft and romantic, utterly french.

The name comes from King LouisXV'S daughter in law, Maria-Josepha who lived in the space for a short period while widowed, she died only 2 years later at the age of 35.
