Rooted in the meadow with jasmine and sage
Sheltered by the pink pampas’ reeds
She delights the senses, all 5 to be exact
A kid in a candy store if how you’ll react
Her beauty is seen, no doubt at all
Elegant and sturdy but not too tall
Her fragrance delights your curious nose
That lift in the air as the summer breeze blows
Her little leaves sound like a chiffon dress twirling
Dangling off her stalk, waving and swirling
The taste of her sugary nectar is a hummingbird’s delight
The combination of the two give a colourful sight
Last but not least are her petals of pink
Soft as a cloud, similar to mink
