What got you into making art ?
My father always had a work shop in which I spent a lot of time woodworking. I thought that learning to carve would enhance the work but discovered that I enjoyed carving more than precision woodwork.
What inspires you ?
Other artists no matter their medium inspire me especially those that think outside the box. I feel so lucky to have met so many creatives In my life.
Favourite smells ?
Flowers in the garden
Coffee or Tea ?
coffee
Do I have a favourite piece of my own ?
When I look at old work I see where I could have done better so usually my favorite is the one I am working on, that said the only piece I
I regret selling is a piece called Venus,
Best advice received ?
Live in the moment with gratitude
Favorite Colour ?
Purple…..no Blue. Actually Blue ….or maybe purpley blue
What is the connective force behind art ?
I am not really understanding the question. What I know is that there is a force that drives me to create and improve, it is not a choice.
Your chosen superpower would be ?
Xray vision…..the glasses from the comic books never worked!
Most challenging piece you ever made ?
The most challenging is usually the current work in progress, every piece seems to be a rollercoaster of love and hate until it’s done, Hopefully it ends on the love side but not every piece works out and many can land on indifference.
Favorite swear word ?
I don’t like swearing. I will but it takes a lot to get me to that point.
Do you need an atmosphere to create ?
Absolutely not. I do like to listen to music when I create but I work anywhere anytime including in my truck at the grocery store parking lot.
Favorite desert ?
My Wife Annette makes a cinnamon roll with pastry and brown sugar from my mothers recipe. Although it is simple it is like a hug from the past and Annette understands that so it’s also a big hug from the present.
