What got you into making art?

It’s funny how I ended up doing pottery! A friend of mine was doing an art degree and needed to complete a credit in ceramic arts. She did not want to go alone and talked me into accompanying her to a beginner course in pottery. As cabinet maker, I love to work with my hands and thought “why not”?  It wasn't long until I fell in love with the craft and built a private studio at my home.  I found pottery to be a relaxing and creative outlet with an ever-evolving learning curve. I love the creative outlet, and the challenges that keep me inspired.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by nature and the practice of elemental magic and witchcraft.  I also love that pottery is a constant challenge where the learning curve is as steep as you are willing to climb; each day brings a new challenge!

Favourite smells?

My favorite smell is the forest after the rain, Petrichor.

Coffee or Tea?

I definitely need that java kick in the morning, but after that it’s tea.

Do I have a favourite piece of my own?

I think my all-time favorite piece of work is the first Forest Fairy mask that I made…..with all its imperfections. Six years later it still hangs in my sitting room; I will never let this one go.

Best advice received?

Best advice: make what you love, go with your heart, and do not feel pressured into what you think will sell.

Favourite colour?

Any colour of green.

What is the connective force behind art?

I love being able to create just a little bit of joy in people's lives by sharing my spiritual inspirations and interests. Whether it’s the perfect cup for your coffee in the morning or a mystical fairy mask in the corner of your garden, my wish is that my pieces bring a small moment of quiet contentment to your day.

Your chosen superpower?

Teleportation! There are so many places and things that I wish to see in this world.

Most challenging piece you've ever made?

Every mask is a challenge! LOL

Favourite swear word?

My favorite swear word is definitely “shit”.

Do you need an atmosphere to create?

Yes, A calm space with no distractions is important to me. I turn off the phone, put my music on, and light my favorite incense.  I am blessed to have a large patio door that connects me to the forest in my backyard.

Favorite desert ?
